Difficult Emotions Can Get 'Stuck'
We all get upset from time to time and then somehow have to deal with the difficult feelings and emotions that come up as a result. However, most people don't know how to do this in a positive and constructive way.
Many of us will suppress our feelings. "Just get over it!" we might say to ourselves, perhaps because we were trained to do that from an early age.
We therefore tend to regard these unpleasant feelings as just being an incovenient by-product of the event that caused the upset.
Unfortunately, suppressed negative feelings don't usually disappear by themselves. Instead, they will tend to become 'stuck' in the body. For example, the ancient wisdom of traditional Chinese medicine tells us that anger is often stored in the liver. Over time, this 'stuck' negative energy can lead to physical and mental imbalances, so negative emotions need to be released properly from the body's energy system.
Guided Emotional Release Meditaiton
This 20 minute emotional release meditation will help you to release negative emotions safely and effectively using a combination of relaxation, breathwork and visualisation.
During the meditation, I will ask you to recall the feelings and emotions that you wish to release without resisting them or trying to push them away. If this experience becomes too intense at any time, simply pause the meditation and repeat the calming breath technique that I will explain at the beginning.
